Behind the Track
This one started as a piano idea — originally meant for the soundtrack of a video game. Back then, the vibe was dark, something like “between day and night, a story about vampires.”
The base was solid: heavy, full, moody. I’ve always liked it — it was well crafted.
I play guitar, even if just a little, but when it comes to piano, I’ve got close to zero technique. I go note by note, mostly by feel.
The lyrics? They’re deliberate. I mean, yeah, ChatGPT helped build the first draft — but it’s a 50/50 deal. There’s been a ton of tweaking, refining, chasing a very specific outcome.
The whole track went through a serious process: tons of prompts, endless test files, most of them forgotten — some were almost right, but missing that one unnameable thing.
This one, though… this one had the balance from the start. It clicked.
It’s kind of a suite — a trip. A track with a story to tell.
I love guitars — always will — and even if this one leans heavy on the piano, what got built around it, above it, underneath it… it’s powerful stuff.
A solid track. No bullshit.
You gotta play it loud — or don’t play it at all.
